Paint and FB

January 1, 2008

Well, dear readers, I have officially moved on to “bigger and better things.” Most importantly, I will be spending five weeks at Faith Builders beginning on Monday. YAY! But presently I am residing in New Berlin, PA with my brother Floyd. Luke is also here right now which (I think) is cool! The plan is that we will work as much as we can on Floyd’s house this week. This afternoon we taped and painted violently, and I believe that we will have much more of the same (and other) in store for us for the rest of the week. The only problem is that Floyd doesn’t have internet at his house and Andy’s (the parents) don’t have wireless (although they do have high speed). (I may have to buy “Floyd” a wireless router tomorrow, so that we don’t have to share so much…)

I’m stoked about FB!!!

Destruction

January 30, 2007

Today I spent numerous hours bending back an angle iron that I had bent up a week ago. I used a rather unusual tool called a scraper. It was at the unusual location of the metal plating around the truck scales. Generally speaking from my past experience, it is better to scrape snow with 165hp than metal. I used the modern conveniences of a torch and welder to bend back the offending metal. The questions for my audience today is 1) Was doing this actually stupid? 2) Was the scraper, the tractor, or the driver at fault? 3) How badly should the offender feel about this? 4) And what practical advice do you have for the offender in avoiding this problem in the future?

ANNOUNCEMENT

December 25, 2006

This is to inform all my faithful readers (cough, cough) that the primary purpose of this blog is to gain input from your lives into mine. Now, I realize that I by doing this I am making myself vulnerable to your rebuke, criticism, etc. But nevertheless I firmly believe that God works through people. So, the first question for my audience today is- What is something about me that you dislike? (answers may vary)
